Solomon is an 11 year old black and white Springer Spaniel lost today 19th March at 4.30pm from Cartgate roundabout picnic site on the A303 near Yeovil
He was in the back of his owners car while the man got out. The boot was insecurely fastened and Solomon escaped.
He was seen in another car alledgedly picked up hopefully unhurt by another motorist who asked the cafe at Cartgate roundabout where the nearest vet was. They were told South Petherton. This person and the dog never turned up there and have not been seen since.
His owners are devestated and beyond themselves with grief. He is not microchipped but does have some very particular identifying features. There is a younger spaniel at home who is already pining for his friend
The police, dog wardens, vets in a 15 mile radius, strays kennels, radio stations and press have all been contacted in an effort to reunite Solomon but we have no information to identify the person who picked him up or in what car, possibly believing him to have been abandoned
Someone out there must have more information to help. If you have please telephone Cindy 01935 824026 or the local RSPCA on 07971 175491

SOLOMON WAS REUNITED WITH HIS OWNERS THE FOLLOWING DAY DUE ENTIRELY TO HIS MICROCHIP.
At the RSPCA we always stress the importance of having your animal microchipped, and the Solomon incident proves how important this is.
In the past, dogs have been stolen or lost and have been reunited with their owners sometimes after many months. By spending a relatively small amount of money you can save a lot of heartache.
Arrange with
your local vet or RSPCA branch to have this done for a moderate cost. |
