RSPCA WEST HATCH
Virtual Tour 26 -
Isolation
Cattery
Return to Virtual Tour
As well as the main cattery, we have a separate
block of four cat pens which are used to isolate any cat that may be
infectious. This block is cleaned out by the kennel staff, so that infection
is not passed to the main cattery. The most common reason that cats are placed
in isolation is when they are suffering form cat flu, as this is an air born
virus and is easily spread. Sometimes cats may be placed here if they have a
skin condition such as ringworm.
Once the cats are signed off as healthy by the vet
they are moved to the main cattery for re-homing.
