At the far end of the site we have 4 isolation kennels. These are used to house any dogs that may be contagious. the most common reason is suspected kennel cough, but more serious illnesses such as parvovirus have been successfully contained here. All 4 kennels have heat lamps and wall heating, and as with the other kennel blocks the dogs have classical music played into the kennels during the day as this has been proved to have a calming effect.
 
Dog isolation is cleaned out by the cattery staff so that infection does not spread to the other dogs.
