Inside the small animal building we have another room which is not open to the public called the overflow room.
 
In this room we try to keep a couple of cages empty specifically for the Inspectorate to use in emergencies (although they are usually full), and keep small animals that are not yet available for homing.
 
In this room we have have 3 isolation rabbit hutches to use for sick bunnies, and isolation guinea pig pens which are generally used for pregnant/nursing mums.  The odd stray terrapin is also often found in here!
